- Advising a leading UK construction company on pile cap removal technology
including defending infringement complaints, prosecuting patent applications and
developing an enforcement strategy.
- Acting for a New York cosmetic house in a trade mark infringement dispute
including conducting proceedings to invalidate the UK registration of
AROMACOLOGY.
- Securing grant of a UK patent for an invention disclosed in breach of
confidence within 14 months despite the intervention of a prospective infringer
and advising on related contractual issues to enable the manufacturer to develop
its market presence.
- Advising a construction components business over product design
conflicts, including the filing of Community Registered Designs and patent
applications, advising on patent infringement and the acquisition of a competing
business in order to resolve a dispute.
- Drafting patent applications for innovations in fields covering, for
example, home security, digital radio; packaging and the recycling of spoil; and
obtaining patents for clients in numerous territories from Argentina to
Yugoslavia and as far afield as Australia and China.
- Conducting projects to identify potential conflicts in connection with
rebranding exercises for products ranging from an airline to a government
department with milk bottle tops and lots of electronic products and software in
between.
- Renegotiating the VIRGIN WINES trade mark licence on the business sale.
